If you are driving in the western portions of Belleville this summer, you are likely to see construction.
City staff says work is about to begin on the Wallbridge-Loyalist Road bridge.
Starting Wednesday May 12th, crews from Clearwater Structures will begin the rehabilitation over West Moira Street and the CN tracks.
It includes jacking up the structure to repair the girders at the north and south abutments, replacing expansion joints, barrier walls, new waterproofing, and new asphalt.
The bridge will go down to one lane, with work lasting until October 2021.
Other construction projects in the city include the Build Belleville project on Sidney Street between Tracey and Bell Boulevard, the Catharine Street foot bridge, and repairs to the Bridge Street bridge over the Moira.
