Quinte West OPP have laid impaired charges in three separate incidents.
An impaired driving-related charge was laid against one person in connection with a two vehicle collision Thursday night in Quinte West.
No one was injured in the collision on English Settlement Road at Bigford Road but when police arrived on scene around 9 p.m., officers observed signs of alcohol consumption in one of the drivers.
A 53-year-old from Brighton was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
Quinte West OPP say a complaint about a disturbance in the parking lot of a Trenton business also led to an impaired charge.
Two people were reported to be in a vehicle screaming at one another in the Dundas Street East parking lot on Wednesday evening around 8 p.m.
Officers located the vehicle driving east on Dundas Street East and stopped the vehicle to confirm the well-being of the occupants.
After sending the driver on their way, police noticed the driver was having difficulty maintaining a lane.
Another traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested for impaired operation.
A 51-year-old from Tudor-Cashel Township is charged with operation while impaired – by drug.
Another motorist faces an impaired charge after Quinte West OPP observed some unsafe driving behaviour on Highway 401.
Tuesday afternoon an officer observed a pickup truck using the on-ramp from the Highway 401 Trenton ONroute to pass vehicles at a high rate of speed.
A traffic stop was conducted on the Glen Miller Road, Highway 401 off-ramp.
