Councillor Bill Roberts says affordable housing is more than needed.

Dowdall told council housing prices have increased 49% in the past year with the average purchase price of a house as of March 31 being $821,000.
The rental situation isn’t much better with rent for a for a two-bedroom apartment averaging just over $1,600 a month.
According to CMHC statistics, for such a rental unit to be affordable, the annual gross household income must be at least $74,640.
The average annual gross household income in PEC is $66,140.
