Hastings Prince Edward District School Board says a sixth Centre Hastings Secondary School student has tested positive for COVID-19.
A tweet from the school board on Monday indicated there is no evidence of transmission or risk of exposure to this case at school.
On Monday, Hastings Prince Edward District Health Unit issued a release urging youth and young adults to limit close contact to their household members only.
In a separate release last week, the health unit asked residents in the northern part of its jurisdiction to take extra precautions after a spike in cases in the Central Hastings and Bancroft areas.
