Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting nine new COVID-19 cases as well as 16 recoveries for an active total of 79 cases.
Six of the new cases are in Belleville, two are in Quinte West and one is in Prince Edward County.
According to the Quinte Health Care COVID-19 page, there are now 20 people in hospital with seven in the ICU and four on ventilators.
The public health unit’s COVID-19 dashboard shows an additional two variant of concern cases have been discovered for a total of 264 with 28 of them currently active, a decrease of six since the previous report.
To date there have been 62,873 doses of vaccine administered with 4,026 people fully vaccinated.
