Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting 18 new COVID-19 cases and 14 recoveries Saturday.
The public health dashboard shows eight new cases in Belleville, four cases each in Centre Hastings and Prince Edward County and two cases in Quinte West.
There are also 17 people in hospital with the virus, an increase of four, as well as one more person in ICU for a total of six with two people on ventilators.
The dashboard also shows that there was one new Variant of Concern (VOC) case identified and that there are 34 VOC cases active.
Eight of the new cases are being attributed to close contact with one of those specifically related to an outbreak, seven cases are listed as pending, two due to local spread and one due to travel.
To date, there have been 62,258 doses of vaccine administered with 3,933 people fully vaccinated.
In Northumberland County Saturday the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting three new cases and an active total of 55.
