Police seized a hockey bag full of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash during a traffic stop on Highway 401 near Napanee.
Monday evening, Lennox and Addington OPP observed a westbound vehicle travelling in an erratic manner.
Police initiated a traffic stop and, after determining that marijuana was readily available within the vehicle, located a hockey bag filled with about 16 pounds of marijuana and nearly $12,000 cash.
As a result of the investigation two individuals, one 23-years-olf of Oakville and another, age 29, of Aurora have been charged with:
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 and,
- Possession for the purpose of distributing
Both are scheduled to appear in court in Napanee in June.
