Brighton’s new alert system is now active.
Brighton Alert is now available to all residents, replacing the previous ERMS.
Brighton Alert is a free service that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from local authorities informing them about potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic and other emergencies.
Alerts will be sent via phone, text and email and will included tailored updates based on specific needs and geographic location.
Fire Chief Jim Smith says Brighton Alert allows both residents and first responders to be better informed in an emergency situation.
All residents are encouraged to sign up at no cost to “Brighton Alert” here to receive timely and actionable emergency alerts via email, text or voice message.
They can also identify when and how they are alerted and communicated with before, during, and after emergencies.
