The Belleville Senators mounted a big comeback last night but it wasn’t quite enough to erase a four goal deficit.
Belleville scored three goals in the final ten minutes but fell to the Laval Rocket 5-4.
Rookies Mark Kastelic, Angus Crookshank and Cole Reinhardt and Parker Kelly scored for the B-Sens. Crookshank has two goals and nine assists in nine games since joining Belleville from the University of New Hampshire. During the post game ZOOM conference Crookshank says he’s adapting to the professional game.

Despite the loss, Coach Troy Mann saw a lot of positives from his young team.

Belleville was 2 for 7 on the power play and 5 for 5 on the penalty kill.
Belleville’s special teams are among the best in the American Hockey League. The power play is ranked 9th at 21.1% and the penalty kill is the fifth best at 84/3%.
Lukas Vejdemo scored twice and Alex Belzile had three assists.
Ryan Poehling, Joel Teasdale and Tobie Paquette-Bisson rounded out the offence for the Rocket (20-5-2), which is 8-1-1 in its last 10 contests.
