Stirling-Rawdon council has a budget ready to present to the public.
As it stands, the budget will mean a very modest increase of about one third of one percent to the local tax rate which translates to an extra $27 a year on the average home valued at $244,000.
The biggest project in the budget is the reconstruction of part of Mill Street at an estimated cost of $4.6 million, with some of that being financed over a 10-year period.
In other capital spending, tenders will go out for a new pumper/tanker truck for the fire department and two bridges, Frankford Road and Highway 14 North, will be rehabilitated, among other smaller projects.
Stirling-Rawdon council will hold a public meeting on the budget May 3.
