(Jonathan Aspirot (48) prepares for a screen shot on Moose goaltender Mikhail Berdin)
The Belleville Senators leave Winnipeg with one win from their four game series with the Manitoba Moose.
A major penalty to Joseph LaBate early in the third period left Belleville short handed for 7 minutes and the Moose took advantage scoring a 5-1 victory. Manitoba scored 3 unanswered goals in the third while outshooting Belleville 21-7 in the frame and 41-16 overall.
Coach Troy Mann says the B-Sens were in it until the major penalty.
Jonathan Aspirot had Belleville’s lone goal. Angus Crookshank and Vitaly Abramov assisted on it to extend their point streaks to 5 games. Crookshank has points in every game since he joined Belleville April 3rd. Abramov has 3 goals and 5 assists during his streak.
Cole Perfetti scored twice for the Moose who improve to 10-11-0-1. Belleville falls to 7-12-1.
The B-Sens move on to Calgary for three games against the Stockton Heat beginning tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
