Four people have been charged after more than 7,000 marijuana plants were seized in the east end of Belleville.
On Sunday, Project Renewal, Belleville City Police, OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau East Region and the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a commercial address, seizing the plants and making the arrests.
The estimated street value of the seized plants if they had reached maturity is approximately seven million dollars.
Charged are:
Jiang, Da Jie – 57 yrs of Toronto
- Cultivate, propagate or harvest any plant at a place that is not their dwelling-house
Jiang was released on an Undertaking with a court date of May 13, 2021.
Li, Shan Yan – 51 yrs of Toronto
- Cultivate, propagate or harvest any plant at a place that is not their dwelling-house
Li was released on an Undertaking with a court date of May 13, 2021.
Jian, Jiang – 33 yrs of Scarborough
- Cultivate, propagate or harvest any plant at a place that is not their dwelling-house
Jian released on an Undertaking with a court date of May 13, 2021.
Yuzhen, Chen – 61 yrs of Scarborough
- Cultivate, propagate or harvest any plant at a place that is not their dwelling-house
Yuzhen was released on an Undertaking with a court date of May 13, 2021.
