There were 18 new cases of COVID-19 Friday in Hastings Prince Edward.
There were 20 recoveries since Thursday leaving 169 active cases.
The HPE Public Health dashboard shows 11 of the new cases are in Belleville with four in Centre Hastings, two in Prince Edward County and one in the Deseronto area.
Eleven of the cases are related to close contact with three attributed to local spread.
The causes of the other four cases are pending.
Six of the new cases are in individuals 19 and under with another six aged 20-29.
Of the cases, 108 are now related to virus variants.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is 84.3.
Eight people remain in hospital with four in ICU and two on a ventilator.
Five outbreaks remain active.
The outbreak at the Richmond Retirement Residence in Belleville, which involved just one case, was declared over today.
39,316 doses of vaccine have been administered with 3,204 people fully vaccinated.
Northumberland County had 12 new cases of the virus on Friday.
The HKPR District Health Unit’s dashboard reports 82 active cases.
Eight cases have been resolved since Thursday.
