The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte are going into the golf business. In a statement released on Twitter, Tyendinaga Mohawk Council announced their acquisition of the Briar Fox Golf and Country Club in Marysville. The Council said they were “grateful for the opportunity to expand within the community and are confident this addition to the MBQ business portfolio will generate new revenue, additional job and training opportunities for community members and establish a benchmark for future economic endeavours.”
Depending on the weather, Briar Fox will open for the season soon with COVID-19 safety measures in place.
