Three members from the Victory Barbell Club in Ameliasburg not only competed at the Ontario Weightlifting champions over the weekend, they earned gold medals.
The competition was held virtually.
Eighteen-year-old Connor Bazilsky competed in the 61 kilogram class. With total lifts of 208 kilograms or 458 pounds, Bazilsky claimed gold in both the junior and senior divisions.
Sixteen-year-old Alex Clazie topped the 109 kilogram division with total lifts of 180 kilos or 396 pounds.
And 13-year-old Ethan Yuke topped the 89 kilogram class with total lifts of 130 kilos or 286 pounds. Ethan gets gold in both the youth and junior division.
