Traffic disruption coming on Loyalist Parkway

Motorists will find some disruptions if they’re travelling a certain section of Loyalist Parkway over the next two days.

The County will be installing new water service connections in the area of Salem Road and Blakley Road.

Millennium Trail, within the work area, will be closed at the same time.

The work will be carried out Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

The following statement was issued by Prince Edward County:

The Development Services and Water departments will be installing a new water service connection along the Loyalist Parkway on Wednesday, March 31 and Thursday, April 1.

This work was postponed last week due to inclement weather conditions.
Traffic disruptions and lane restrictions will occur along the Loyalist Parkway between Salem Road and Blakely Road between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm both days.
The section of the Millennium Trail within the work area (see map below) will be closed during the installation work.
Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
