Prince Edward County OPP have charged one person following an alleged sexual assault in the parking lot of a business on Main Street, Picton.
Monday evening (March 22), just after 8 p.m., police received a report that a sexual assault had occurred in a Picton parking lot earlier in the day.
Investigation led to the arrest of a 22-year-old individual from Prince Edward County on Wednesday (March 24) on a charge of sexual assault.
Police say there was no threat to public safety.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
The accused was released on an undertaking to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
