Five new cases of COVID-19 have been reported on Friday in Hastings Prince Edward.
There are now 15 active cases.
One person has recovered since Thursday’s report.
Three of the new cases are in Belleville, one is in Quinte West, with the other in the Deseronto area.
The cause of one case is travel, while another is attributed to local spread with causes of the other three pending.
The HPE Public Health dashboard shows the seven day case rate per 100,000 people is up to 5.3.
To date there have been nine cases of variant versions of the virus detected within the two counties.
None of the current cases is in hospital.
23,842 doses of vaccine have been administered with 1,901 people considered fully vaccinated.
In Northumberland Friday, there were two new cases.
The HKPR Health Unit’s dashboard shows nine active cases meaning there have been three recoveries since yesterday.
