Quinte West’s Economic Development Committee is recommending city council financially support two sporting organizations in the city.
The committee is recommending council grant $15,000 to the Competitive Sport Fishing League for a bass tournament based out of Trenton this summer. The local tournament would be one of four in the wider region to be known as the Quinte Cup.
And it’s recommended council grant $40,000 to the Trenton Golden Hawks hockey club for city advertising to be placed on the back of team’s bus over a five-year period.
