The Belleville Police responded to 73 calls for service between 5 a.m. on March 23, 2021 and 5 a.m. on March 24, 2021.
Trespassing
On March 23, 2021 at 9:17 a.m., police attended the railway tracks along Airport Parkway in regards to a male on the tracks. The male was located and spoken to about being on the tracks. A 53-year-old Belleville male was cautioned for trespassing.
Traffic Complaint
On March 23, 2021 at 10 p.m., police observed a vehicle on North Front St. with the wrong plates. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified himself with a valid licence. Further investigation revealed that not only were the plates not authorized for the vehicle, but there was no insurance either. As a result, a 19-year-old Belleville resident was charged with plates not authorized and drive motor vehicle with no insurance. The driver was issued a part 3 summons with a court date of May 3, 2021.
