Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reported one new case of COVID-19 Friday.
The case is located in Central Hastings with the cause pending.
There are seven active cases with three recoveries since Thursday.
The public health dashboard indicates a total of eight cases have been attributed to variant strains of the virus.
The seven day rate per 100,000 people in Hastings Prince Edward is down to 3.0.
The seven day positivity rate is 0.2%.
15,909 doses of vaccine have been administered with 1,870 people fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Thursday’s case reported on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory has been declared a false positive.
The report of the case resulted in the closure of the MBQ administration offices and community well-being centre.
They will re-open Monday, March 22.
