Update (5:00 p.m. March 12): Belleville Police have officially confirmed the identity of the suspect as 64-year-old Michael Danese of Belleville.
Danese was in bail court on March 10 and was remanded into custody. He will have a video court appearance on March 18 and is facing one count of first degree murder. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Belleville Police are continuing to investigate an alleged murder in the city’s east end this week and media reports have surfaced with the suspect’s name.
According to Global News the suspect is 64-year-old Michael Danese, of Belleville, but city police say they can’t confirm that just yet.
Police have said that a 62-year-old woman was found dead in a home on Plaza Square on Tuesday night, with signs of trauma and are calling the case a “domestic incident”.
