Belleville General Hospital Foundation’s “Be Well” campaign has received another substantial gift.
Pioneer Health Care has donated $150,000 to the $20 million campaign.
Pioneer Health Care handles medical transportation needs across the health care network, covering central, Southern and Eastern Ontario.
Pioneer’s CEO Travis Shawcross, who was recently honored with a QHC ‘Values in Action’ award, says the donation is a further demonstration of their commitment to patients across the region.
Steven Cook, Executive Director of the BGH Foundation, says the “Be Well” campaign is essential to the health of the hospital over the next five to ten years with the area’s population of 65 and over expected to grow to 30% by 2026.
