The stress of dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has caused various problems for almost everyone and that includes students in post-secondary schools.
Sunday Bay of Quinte riding MPP Todd Smith announced a grant of just over $316,000 to improve mental health and addictions services for Loyalist College students.
Smith says the money will support more services for students both on campus and virtually.
Loyalist College President Ann Marie Vaughan says the funding will allow more counselling services and the addition of a dedicated outreach worker for mental health programming and wellness checks.
