The Belleville Senators have named a new captain, ahead of their return to American Hockey League action on Wednesday.
The team has announced that Glace Bay, Nova Scotia native Logan Shaw will wear the ‘C’ this season, becoming the fourth captain in B-Sens’ history.
Shaw has played 239 career AHL games, over seven seasons, with six clubs and has put up 64 goals and 50 assists, for 114 points.
He’s also suited up in 215 National Hockey League games with Winnipeg, Montreal, Anaheim and Florida, notching 15 goals and 21 assists, for 36 points.
Currently in his first year with Belleville, Shaw has become the team’s leading scorer early on this season, with three points in four games played.
After an 11 day break, the B-Sens will hit the ice again against the Stockton Heat on Wednesday night, at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata.
