A Belleville woman has been charged after an incident in the city Friday night.
Belleville police were called to Church Street at approximately 8:45 p.m. for reports of an unwanted person.
Police spoke to the staff and were told a woman had been trying to enter the premises and had assaulted and threatened a staff member.
After further investigation, a 36-year-old Belleville woman was charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death, one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.
She was held for a bail hearing on Saturday.
