The federal Liberal Candidate for Hastings-Lennox and Addington riding joined the Lorne Brooker Show Friday morning.
Former MP Mike Bossio covered a number of topics including the diversity of the H-L&A riding.
“Figure there are about six different identities that exist within this riding that you’re dealing with, that have very different needs and concerns and views of the world.”
He was asked about controversial member Derek Sloan, who ran for the leadership of the Conservative Party, just weeks after defeating Bossio in the 2019 federal election.
“Personally I think it was unfortunate, I think it was misguided, but he’s not me. Like I said, everybody takes their own approach to this role and I’m not going to judge anybody for the reasons that they chose. I don’t agree with those reasons, I don’t agree with those views at all.”
Bossio says Sloan won fair and square, however he says he wishes the now Independent MP would have made it clear to voters what his mandate was and what his world views were before the election.
