Trenton Golden Hawks forward Wyatt George has found his collegiate home.
Wyatt George has announced that he will go to join the Beavers at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
George played 54 games in Trenton last year, with the Mt. Lebanon PA native racking up 38 points. He also had 9 points in 2020-21 and exhibition play in 11 games against Wellington and Lindsay (COVID-19 bubbling took place for all games, under health unit and OJHL Return to the Rink Policy).
George says, “the school offers exactly what I want, and they are a tremendous D3 program. It was a tough decision not being able to go see schools in person due to the pandemic, but when I talked with the folks at Babson, it was a no brainer.”
“My time in Trenton was the best time I ever had in hockey. The fans, atmosphere, ownership, volunteers, supporters, and the staff were all top notch to me. Things are also done at a professional level. Trenton was wonderful to me and I will always remember that,” added the forward.
Head Coach/GM Peter Goulet says, “Wyatt was a consistent leader from his arrival in Quinte West. His play on the ice, and work ethic were a strong example to teammates. He was someone who could play in all situations and we are thrilled to see him continue in his hockey career and gain a great education. Congrats Wyatt!”
