A member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte who recently tested positive for COVID-19 has passed away.
Last week the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council and the COVID Response Team were notified of three cases of the virus on the Territory.
The Council issued a press release today stating that one of those individuals has died.
In the release, the Council offered its condolences to grieving friends and family and urged anyone who is feeling unwell to get tested.
