The recent COVID-19 pandemic lockdown had quite an effect on the number of people using Belleville Transit buses.
Because of the Stay-at-Home Order running from January 14 until February 10 the number of riders on Belleville buses in January dropped to 25,475.
That’s a 77% drop from the over 118,000 people who rode the buses in January of last year.
Specialized Transit was also down significantly in January, at 57%.
