Brighton council has almost finished its 2021 budget process.
Earlier this week, council presented a budget to the public and received no objections.
The budget is expected to be passed at a council meeting next month.
As it stands, Brighton’s budget would see residents paying 1.69% more in local taxes this year than last.
That increase includes charges from Northumberland County and school boards.
That translates to an extra $83 a year, or $7 a month, for the average home in Brighton priced at $400,000.
