It may not be a “Gala” but Hospice Quinte is going for a “Raffle” to help in its annual fundraising.
COVID-19 pandemic caused the 35th Anniversary Enchanted Garden Gala fundraiser to be cancelled, but organizers have turned to a pandemic-friendly Lucky Luxury Raffle.
Supporters can participate without leaving home.
Five hundred tickets will be sold and prize packages have a total value of $9,899.
The Hospice Quinte fundraiser is set for March 17.
Proceeds from Lucky Luxury Raffle will be directed to the Quinte Hospice general operations and will assist in recouping funding lost due to the cancellation of its annual Gala event.
In a statement, Hospice Quinte Executive Director Jennifer May-Anderson says, “While we were deeply saddened to announce the cancellation of our 35th Anniversary Gala, we are extremely pleased to announce the launch of Hospice Quinte’s inaugural Lucky Luxury Raffle. Thanks to the caring generosity and continued support of our donors and sponsors, we have been able to create this exciting St. Patrick’s Day themed raffle to help raise funds in support of Hospice Quinte’s traditional programs and services.”
