The federal government is about to begin the long process of replacing a common sight on the tarmac at CFB Trenton.
The CC-150 Polaris fleet will be replaced with what officials call “a modern fleet capable of providing air-to-air refuelling, strategic airlift, aeromedical evacuations, and strategic transport.
Public Services and Procurement Canada posted a notice as the first step in the three phase procurement process. It is called an Invitation to Qualify.
Respondents must be able to meet the project’s security and other core requirements before moving to the tender phase.
A Request for Proposal is expected this fall.
