A concealed weapon was found during a traffic stop in Trenton.
Sunday evening around 8:30 p.m., Quinte West OPP stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of a Dundas Street East business.
After observing signs of impairment, a roadside screening test was administered and as a result, the driver was arrested.
Police located a large knife during a subsequent search of the vehicle.
Fifty-nine-year-old Ronald Humphrey of Brighton was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and carrying a concealed weapon.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in April.
His licence was also suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
