The Quinte West OPP has increased its efforts to apprehend individuals who are avoiding justice in the City of Quinte West.
On Monday, February 8, 2021, Quinte West OPP officers arrested three people on outstanding warrants.
One person wanted on a Quinte West OPP warrant was arrested and released with the assistance of the Dufferin OPP Detachment.
A 34-year-old female of Gatineau, Quebec has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and theft under $5,000.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 12, 2021.
A 23-year-old male of Orangeville has been charged with theft under $5,000.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 25, 2021.
Two other people were arrested on outstanding bench warrants. No new charges were laid and the accused were released on undertakings with new court dates to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
The names of the accused have been withheld to protect the identities of the victims.
