OPP ARREST NINE PEOPLE ON WARRANTS
(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested multiple people on outstanding warrants this weekend.
The Quinte West OPP has increased its efforts to apprehend individuals who are avoiding justice in the City of Quinte West. Between February 5, 2021 and February 7, 2021, Quinte West OPP arrested nine people on outstanding arrest warrants.
Jerry HYLTON, 55 years old of Prince Edward County has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and trafficking in stolen goods under $5000. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on February 18, 2021.
Tanya LYTTLE, 37 years old of Quinte West has been charged with failure to attend court. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on February 25, 2021.
Shyann THOMPSON, 22 years old of North York was charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death and breach of recognizance. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 25, 2021.
Samuel MCCORD, 39 years old of Quinte West has been charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation. The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 7, 2021.
A 41-year-old female of Napanee was charged with assault and mischief. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 1, 2021. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Three other persons were arrested on outstanding bench warrants. No new charges have been laid and the accused were released on undertakings with new court dates to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
