Quinte West OPP laid charges in two separate disturbances in Trenton on the weekend.
Late Friday night, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Lester Road where two people had been assaulted.
Investigation led to the arrest of a 43-year-old Quinte West man on an assault charge.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on February 22.
Just after midnight on Sunday, police were called to another disturbance on Byron Street.
One person was assaulted.
A 24-year-old Belleville woman was charged with assault.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 1.
The names of the accused have been withheld to protect the identities of the victims.
