The Belleville Senators are bringing back defenceman Cody Goloubef on a professional tryout agreement.
The 31-year-old Goloubef played 30 games for the B-Sens in the 2018-19 season. He played most of last year with the parent Ottawa Senators.
Goloubef will fill a void left by the trade of veteran Christian Jaros to the San Jose Barracuda last month.
The Belleville Senators continue their training camp in Ottawa awaiting word on if and when their AHL season will begin. A spokesperson for Ontario Sport Minister Lisa MacLeod told the Canadian Press on Thursday there is no timeline for the AHL to begin play in Ontario. The lockdown in Ontario is due to be lifted next week.
The American Hockey League season begins tonight (Fri) with 6 games. Cleveland at Rockford has been postponed.
