The Quinte West Detachment of the OPP has completed its search for a wanted Quinte West resident.
On February 3, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit along with the Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad, with the assistance of the OPP Investigation and Support Bureau Digital Forensics, executed a warrant at a residence on Sidney Street in Trenton and arrested a person on outstanding charges.
Gerald BRUMMELL, 57 years old of Quinte West has been charged with the following offences:
- Uttering threats – cause bodily death or harm – two counts
- Criminal harassment – two counts
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on February 4, 2021.
Brummell has recently made national news, for warrants by the Durham Regional Police and Toronto Police, after he was accused of threatening judges. CLICK HERE FOR THAT STORY
