The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a disturbance call at a Trenton residence.
On January 28, 2021, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a 911 call at a residence on Meyers Creek Road in Trenton.
Police attended the residence and as a result one person was arrested, and another was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
A 38-year-old female from Belleville was charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 29, 2021.
The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
