While Ontario has announced an extension of its provincial emergency, a stay-at-home order has not been extended and as of today, should still expire as planned.
The Provincial Government’s original emergency declaration was set to run out this week and has now been extended to match up with the end of the stay-at-home order on February 9.
That means, for two more weeks, Ontarians are asked to only leave home for essential purposes and to continue to practice the public health measures that have been put in place.
There is a chance the province could extend both the emergency declaration and stay-at-home order further, but no decisions on that have yet been made.
