The provincial government is investing another $200 million into its Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
The money will be granted to small, rural, and Northern communities to help pay for priority infrastructure projects such as road and bridge work and upgrades to water and sewage systems.
Premier Doug Ford made the announcement at this year’s virtual Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference this morning (Monday).
Several local municipalities have benefited from the fund on an annual basis since its inception in 2014.
