Inmates at Warkworth Penitentiary, south of Campbellford, are being vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to a Global News report Phase 1 vaccinations of the elderly and most at-risk inmates at Warkworth began January 8 and will end in the next few days.
The exact number of vaccinations being given at the prison isn’t known.
There have been three confirmed cases of coronavirus at Warkworth but all of those infected have since recovered.
