The Belleville Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of its Home for the Holidays Decorating Contest.
In November, the Chamber asked people to register their addresses so people could drive around a number of routes and take in some holiday displays around the city during the holiday season.
A panel of judges narrowed down the field to 14 houses, with eight winners eventually selected by the public, via votes on social media platforms:
- Derek Beaver
- Lorissa Charnock
- Charlie Sheldon
- Evin Bergeron
- Cheryl Coffey
- Scott Folwell
- Chris & Ron MacDonald
- Sharon Huycke
Each of those winners recieved $250 courtesy of the City of Belleville, while the People’s Choice Award, was given to Joann Hughes and Paul Jackson, who were awarded a $500 prize courtesy of Crimestoppers Quinte.
The event was also supported by the Children’s Safety Village and Habitat for Humanity Prince-Edward Hastings whose traditional holiday events have been cancelled.
