As Ontario implements its stay at home order, Quinte Health Care is increasing its restrictions on visitors to the four hospitals.
Effective Saturday, QHC will move to Phase 3 of its Care Partner and Visiting During COVID-19 Policy, which effectively prohibits visitors unless a patient is near death, while also limiting the number of other care partners who provide emotional and physical supports to some patients.
Also effective Saturday, the Belleville General Emergency Department will be closed to anyone other than patients who require immediate care, with non-emergency patients asked to enter through the other main entrances.
