The City of Belleville is asking for the public’s input into a proposed new open air burning bylaw.
Under the bylaw permits must be obtained from the fire department before any outdoor burning, such as campfires,
brush fires, burning in appliances, and agricultural fires.
Brush fires would only be allowed in rural areas and the burning of garbage would not be permitted anywhere in the city.
