The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a young person in relation to a disturbance.
On January 13, 2021 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a location on Hamilton Road where it was reported a young person was damaging property.
As a result of the investigation a 16-year-old from Belleville was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Fail to comply with sentence
The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for video bail later today.
The name of the youth is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
