While the COVID-19 numbers aren’t looking good elsewhere in the province, it was another day with very few new cases in Hastings Prince Edward.
The HPE Public Health Dashboard shows just one new confirmed case of the virus in our area today, with five recoveries, leaving 23 active cases.
The new case was found in Belleville and has been attributed to travel outside the area.
There is still one ongoing outbreak at Hastings Manor, with three people in hospital and one of those patients in the ICU.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is 16.6, which would keep our area in the yellow zone of Ontario’s COVID-19 Response Framework, if the province was not in lockdown.
In Northumberland County the HKPR Health Unit Dashboard is reporting nine new cases today and four recoveries, for a total of 38 active.
