A stolen vehicle investigation in Napanee has led to the arrest of two people.
Around 2:30 Tuesday morning, Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that had exited westbound Highway 401 at Palace Road.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on Bridge Street West but the driver fled.
The vehicle was found abandoned on Slash Road.
The OPP Canine Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team were called in and located and arrested two individuals.
Fifty-four-year-old Michael Barry of Kingston is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, Possession of Break-in Instruments, Fail to comply with undertaking and Driving Under Suspension.
He was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 12.
Forty-seven-year-old Terry Brick of no fixed address is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 16.
