A pair of Frankford residents are facing numerous charges related to impaired driving and possession of drugs after being pulled over by the Belleville Police Friday night.
Around 7:30 p.m., police spotted a possible impaired driver in the area of Bridge Street and Herchimer Avenue. The vehicle was stopped shortly after in a plaza parking lot and an investigation revealed that the driver was impaired by drugs.
Following a vehicle search, 45-year-old Russell Locklin of Frankford was arrested and charged with:
• 3 counts – Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine & Fentanyl)
• Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
• Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by Drugs
• Fail to Surrender Motor Vehicle Permit
• Driver Fail to Surrender Licence
• Fail to Notify Change of Address
• Fail to Surrender Proof of Insurance
The investigation also revealed that 41-year-old passenger Mirjana Celp of Frankford was also in possession of drugs.
She was charged with possession of cocaine and fentanyl.
Both accused have been released and are scheduled to appear in court on February 8. The vehicle was seized and impounded from the scene.
